WELCOME TO PREP/PREP LAB
Prep/Prep Lab IV is designed to give students an opportunity to apply and put into practice all skills previous learned in other Occupational Preparations courses and apply them to their personal career choice. Students will learn to solve work-related problems experienced in competitive employment, practice self-advocacy skills and master the theoretical and practical aspects of their career choice. Students will complete the 360 hours of integrated competitive employment in a community setting required for successful completion of the Occupational Course of Study. Students also will develop a job placement portfolio that provides an educational and vocational record of their high school experience.
The main goal of this course is to assist students in earning the 240 community-based hours required for graduation.
Classroom Participation
Students will receive a weekly participation grade for reading out loud, asking and answering questions in class, working cooperative with fellow students, and helping fellow students when asked.
